The 16th Annual International Meeting of the American Telemedicine Association (ATA) took place at the Tampa Convention Center, May 1-3, 2011. This was the largest event in ATA’s history, with over 3600 attendees and 200 vendors from the United States and 48 other nations. ATA 2011 is now, officially, the largest international meeting and tradeshow focusing exclusively on telemedicine, telehealth, Health and remote medical technologies.

ATA 2011 was a premier forum for the latest peer-reviewed research, clinical outcomes, case studies and business models related to telemedicine and telehealth. The meeting contained over 260 presentations, organized into 72 session and 8 topical tracks. The event also included 12 pre-meeting Professional Development Courses providing training on the latest administrative, clinical and technical aspects of telemedicine.

The ATA 2011 Exposition was the association’s largest to-date and was world’s largest telemedicine tradeshow. Over 220 exhibitors displayed the latest developments in telemedicine technology, products and services. The showfloor was HUGE, with over 220,000 square feet of exhibit space.
