RE:         Another great Alabama Telehealth Summit at the Beautiful Hill Student Center

On behalf of the Alabama Office of Rural Development, the Southeastern TeleHealth Resource Center (SETRC), Alabama Partnership for TeleHealth (APT), and UAB; we would like to formally thank you for participating in this year’s 5th annual summit. This year’s 5th Annual Telehealth Summit at the Hill Student Center surpassed expectations and was a great success with approximately 200 attendees.

Whether you were a speaker, sponsor, or attendee, your presence contributed to the success of the event. Having a diverse panel of expert speakers enabled us to offer a day full of topics beneficial to the equally diverse group of attendees. The summit’s generous supporters were engaging and provided valuable information along with delightful giveaways. Everyone there took time out of their busy schedules to discover how rural health in Alabama is being impacted by the current healthcare environment and to consider the potential of telemedicine as one solution to the ever increasing demands and expectations.

We wish to congratulate Medical Aids Outreach of Alabama for receiving the “Telehealth Champion of the Year” award. We also want to extend a special Thank You to UAB for their partnership and participation in the event. The venue was spectacular and the service was great.

We are not only committed to providing a summit that meets the needs of the attendees but the needs of our speakers and supporters, as well. We welcome your comments as to how the event could be improved. Thank you again for your help in making the summit informative for all and we look forward to another engaging and successful summit next year.

If you are interested in being a part of our Alabama workgroup meetings, which are held quarterly in Montgomery, please reach out to me, lloyd.sirmons@setrc.us, and I will make sure you are added to our e-mail distribution list.
